Frequently Asked Questions
Legality
How can this be legal?
Danish legislation allows the sale of cannabis products as long as the THC content is below 0.2% and the products do not contain HHC, HHC-P, THC-P or H4CBD.
All our products comply with these limits and are therefore 100% legal according to Danish legislation.
What should I do if I am stopped by the police?
The products we sell are 100% legal. However, the police will not be able to tell the difference between our products and illegal cannabis products. Our experience from other customers is that they do not take any further action as long as the products are in their original packaging.
Should they still choose to confiscate the products, it is important that you demand a laboratory test of the products, and a receipt for the confiscation. After the test, any charges will be dropped, as our products, as previously mentioned, are 100% legal according to Danish law.
Please contact us if you have any further questions about this. We will be happy to help.
Can you smoke your products?
Danish law does not allow the sale of cannabis products for consumption. Our products are souvenirs and are marketed and sold as collectors' items. The products are delivered in sealed packaging that must not be broken.
Our products are only legal to sell, buy and possess, and we neither encourage nor recommend the consumption or smoking of our products.
We disclaim any responsibility for how you as a customer choose to use our products.
What is industrial hemp?
Industrial hemp is the legal term for cannabis grown with a THC content of less than 0.2%. Industrial hemp is legal to grow and trade in many jurisdictions due to its low THC content, even though it is otherwise commonly known as cannabis.
Our industrial hemp is grown under controlled conditions, and all products undergo extensive laboratory testing to ensure quality and safety.
Cannabinoids
What is THCA?
THCA (tetrahydrocannabinol acid) is a naturally occurring cannabinoid found in raw, unheated cannabis. It is the precursor to THC and is present in the plant in its unprocessed state.
How is THCA formed?
THCA develops in the cannabis plant as it grows. It represents the natural, unaltered form of THC before it undergoes any changes caused by heat or processing.
What makes THCA relevant?
THCA is a fundamental part of the natural composition of the cannabis plant. As a crude compound, it is often used in laboratory tests to assess cannabinoid profiles in cannabis products.
Is THCA legal?
Yes, THCA is legal in Denmark, provided that the final product complies with the 0.2% THC limit, as defined by law. All of our THCA-enhanced products meet this requirement and are thoroughly tested to ensure legal compliance.
How does THCA fit into Weedshop's range?
We use natural THCA isolate, which is carefully extracted and included in selected products in its raw form. All our items are sold as sealed collectors' items and remain 100% legal under Danish law.
What is THC?
THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is a naturally occurring cannabinoid found in the cannabis plant. It is a key part of the plant's cannabinoid profile and is used in the regulatory classification of cannabis products.
How is THC measured?
THC levels are measured through independent laboratory analysis, which determines whether a product complies with the legal limit. In Denmark, the THC content must be below 0.2% for a product to be legally sold.
Is THC legal?
Only in very limited quantities. In Denmark, cannabis products are only legal if the THC content is below 0.2%. Anything above this limit is considered illegal and subject to stricter regulation.
Is THC present in Weedshop's products?
Yes — within legal limits. All our products are laboratory certified to ensure that the THC content does not exceed 0.2%, and are therefore fully compliant with current Danish legislation.
What is CBD?
CBD stands for cannabidiol, a naturally occurring cannabinoid in the cannabis plant. It is one of over 100 identified cannabinoids and is known for its unique role in the plant's composition.
How was CBD discovered?
CBD was discovered in 1940 by Dr. Roger Adams and his team at the University of Illinois. The discovery of CBD paved the way for further research into the structure of the cannabis plant and a deeper understanding of its complexity.
How does CBD differ from other cannabinoids?
CBD is a special cannabinoid that differs from f.eks. THC by being non-psychoactive – that is, it does not give the high that THC does.
How can I use CBD?
CBD is incredibly versatile and can be included in a wide range of products, including topical creams, oils and capsules. At Weedshop you will also find both CBD hash and CBD skunk.
Is CBD legal?
Yes, CBD is legal under Danish law, as long as the THC content in the products is below 0.2%.
What does the future hold for CBD?
Scientists are still uncovering the many exciting properties of CBD and its role in the cannabis plant. The growing interest and ongoing research are opening up new possibilities, and it is exciting to follow what the future holds for this unique cannabinoid.
How does CBD fit into Weedshop's range?
At Weedshop, we see great value in CBD as an important part of our selection. We are dedicated to offering a wide range of CBD products, carefully selected for their quality and purity. We are proud to offer these products to our customers and recognize CBD's unique place in the world of the cannabis plant.
What is CBN?
CBN (cannabinol) is one of the many naturally occurring cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. It is particularly notable as a byproduct of THC and is formed over time when THC is exposed to air and light.
How is CBN formed?
CBN is created through the oxidation and breakdown of THC. This process occurs naturally, which is why CBN is often found in older cannabis plant material.
What makes CBN relevant?
Although CBN is not as well-known as THC or CBD, it is gaining increasing attention in research circles. As part of the cannabis plant's complex cannabinoid profile, CBN is often analyzed in laboratory tests to better understand the composition of products.
Is CBN legal?
Yes, CBN is legal in Denmark as long as the product complies with applicable regulations – including the 0.2% THC content limit. All of our products that may contain CBN are independently tested to ensure legal compliance.
How does CBN fit into Weedshop's range?
CBN may be present in small amounts in some of our souvenir products, especially those that have been carefully processed and preserved. All products are sold as sealed collectors' items and comply with all requirements set by Danish legislation.
What is CBD Oil?
CBD oil is a product made by combining cannabidiol (CBD) – a naturally occurring cannabinoid in the cannabis plant – with a carrier oil, such as hemp seed oil or MCT oil. It is one of the most recognized and widely used forms of CBD.
How is CBD oil made?
CBD is extracted from industrial hemp, which is grown with a THC content of less than 0.2%, in accordance with Danish legislation. The extract is then mixed with a carrier oil to form the finished product. All steps are closely monitored to ensure high quality and legal compliance.
What makes CBD oil relevant?
CBD oil is valued for its versatility. It is used in a variety of legal product types and is often analyzed in laboratories for purity, cannabinoid content, and regulatory compliance. It plays a central role in the growing market for hemp-based products.
Is CBD oil legal?
Yes, CBD oil is legal in Denmark as long as it is made from approved industrial hemp varieties and contains less than 0.2% THC. All CBD oil products must be laboratory tested and comply with applicable regulations and guidelines.
How does CBD oil fit into Weedshop's range?
At Weedshop, we offer CBD oil as a collector's item. It is delivered in sealed, tamper-proof packaging and is sold exclusively in accordance with Danish law. Each batch is independently tested to ensure it meets the highest standards of quality and legality.
What are Terpenes?
Terpenes are naturally occurring aromatic compounds found in many plants – including cannabis. They are responsible for the characteristic scents and aromas associated with different cannabis strains, such as citrus, pine, earthy or floral notes.
Where do terpenes come from?
Terpenes are produced in the trichomes of the cannabis plant – the same glands that also produce cannabinoids like CBD and THC. They are part of the plant’s natural defense system and have several functions in nature, bl.a. to attract pollinators and deter pests.
What makes terpenes relevant?
In addition to contributing to aroma and scent, terpenes are often used in laboratory analyses to profile and categorize different cannabis strains, playing an important role in defining the character and identity of each individual product.
Are terpenes legal?
Yes, terpenes are completely legal. They are not classified as controlled substances and are widely used in many legal industries, including cosmetics, food flavoring, and aromatherapy. In the context of cannabis products, they are legal as long as the product itself complies with applicable laws – especially those regarding THC content.
How do terpenes fit into Weedshop's range?
At Weedshop we emphasize the aromatic characteristics of our products, many of which are naturally rich in different terpene profiles. All products are sealed and sold as collectors' items - in full compliance with Danish legislation.
What is hemp seed oil and MCT oil?
Hemp seed oil and MCT oil are two high-quality plant-based oils that are often used as carrier oils in cannabis-related products. While they serve similar purposes, they come from different sources and have unique properties.
Hemp seed oil
Hemp seed oil is extracted by cold pressing the seeds of the industrial hemp plant. It contains no cannabinoids such as THC or CBD and is known for its natural origin and mild aroma.
At Weedshop, hemp seed oil can be included in selected souvenirs to provide a smooth and natural base, while ensuring full compliance with Danish legislation.
MCT oil
MCT oil (Medium-Chain Triglyceride oil) is typically derived from coconut or palm kernel oil. It is valued for its neutral flavor, clarity, and long shelf life, making it a popular carrier oil in various legal wellness products.
At Weedshop, MCT oil can also be used in our CBD souvenir products, which are always laboratory tested and securely packaged in accordance with applicable legislation.
Why use carrier oils?
Carrier oils such as hemp seed oil and MCT oil are essential in product formulations containing plant extracts. They help deliver stable and consistent quality while ensuring the final product remains legal and easy to handle.
